My name is Dominique Oberhauser. I'm a French-Australian artist specialising in illuminated miniatures. I was born in France and migrated to Australia in 1989. I now live in the village of Richmond in Tasmania.

This website presents a selection of my artwork. I specialise in small size paintings combining the use of 23 karat gold leaf and gouache.

All paintings are created individually with very fine detail, it takes between 20 to 30 hours of work to complete each painting, they are mainly  inspired from Book of Hours illustrations, illuminated manuscripts, stained glass windows as well as personal designs.

All artwork is for sale. The majority of original paintings displayed have been sold but similar designs can be painted on order. I can also do special requests. If you're interested, please contact me by email.
